The animals cannot see well, but they have a good sense of hearing and smell. The only hair on rhinoceroses is at the tip of the tail and on the ears. The white rhinoceros is a lighter gray than the others. Rhinoceroses have thick gray or brown skin. Both the African and the Sumatran rhinoceroses have two horns. Some have one horn on the top of the head. They are about 8 to 13 feet (2.5 to 4 meters) long. Rhinoceroses are large animals that weigh 3 to 5 tons. Rhinoceroses can move quickly, even through thick bushes. The Sumatran rhinoceros prefers the forest. They generally live in grasslands, in areas with small bushes, or in marshes. The white rhinoceros is one of the largest mammals living on land. The black rhinoceros and the white, or square-lipped, rhinoceros are found in Africa. The Sumatran, the Javan, and the great Indian rhinoceroses are found in Asia. Illegal hunting has left most of them in danger of dying out. There are five species, or types, of this mammal.

It prefers nesting sites on slight inclines to aid take-off (as it is a poor flier).Ī single egg is incubated by both parents for 45 days, the semiprecocial chick is then fed each night with a bill full of fish (in the manner of puffins) for 50 days. The Rhinoceros Auklet nests in burrows dug into the soil or in natural caves and cavities between 1 to 5 m deep. It winters both in offshore and inshore waters, exhibiting some migration.

The Rhinoceros Auklet is a North Pacific auk that breeds from California (the Channel Islands) to the Aleutian Islands in Alaska in North America and Hokkaidō and Honshū, Japan, as well as North Korea and Sakhalin Island in Asia. sea-rhinoceros 703 points 704 points 705 points 6 months ago Well it wasn’t quite the recession that killed Detroit, it’s been on the decline since at least the 1980’s when gas prices shot through the roof and all the cars they made there weren’t worth shit cause they got 8 miles to the gallon. Males are slightly larger than females (about 10% in mass). Some have even been seen swimming in the sea. The plumage is dark on top, paler below, and the breeding adults, both male and females possess white plumes above the eyes and behind the bill. Sumatran Rhinoceroses spend a lot of time near water and are very good swimmers. The Rhinoceros Auklet (also known as the Rhino Auklet, Horn-billed Puffin, or Unicorn Puffin), is a medium sized auk with a large, strong, orange/brown bill (with the 'horn' protruding from it). It ranges widely across the North Pacific feeding on small fish and nesting in seabird colonies. This horn is only present in breeding adults, and like the elaborate sheath on the bill of puffins is shed every year. These creatures are attracted to the sound of a Sea Bear attack, possibly picking up dead meat (like vultures), if the sea bear has killed. In order to protect yourself from them, you have to wear Anti-Sea Rhinoceros Undergarments. Its name is derived from a horn-like extension of the beak. Sea Rhinoceros are dangerous wild creatures briefly mentioned and shown in 'The Camping Episode.' They are large with a body like a turtle and a rhinoceross head.

Given its close relationship with the puffins the common name Rhinoceros Puffin has been proposed for the species. It is the only living species of the genus Cerorhinca. The Rhinoceros Auklet, Cerorhinca monocerata, is a seabird considered, despite its name, a close relative of the puffins.
